LOCAL PRODUCED PROGRAM WINS AN EMMY AWARD:

Local Coordinating Producer, Ms. Robin Craig, and her team of talented producers win an Emmy for the Houston produced daytime Court Show "Cristina's Court". The 35th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award was bestowed to the team for the "Requiem for a Pit Bull" episode that was produced by Ms. Craig in the category of "Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program". This episode pitted gun right advocates and animal rights advocates against each other when an Austin, Texas man shoots a neighbors pet Pit Bull. The country questioned the right to protect a family against a neighbor's pet, a breed of canine that is notorious for viscous and sometimes lethal attacks. In this case, the dog did not attack a person but was merely an intimidating sight in the backyard of an Austin man, who shot the dog 5 times after warning his neighbor to contain the loose dog. The Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards are presented to daytime television programs broadcast between the hours of 2AM and 6PM and for performances and programs in 13 categories including Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Show. Congratulations to Ms. Robin Craig and to the Houston team that produces "Cristina's Court".
