I am sorry to say that none of our Houston
filmmakers were selected to for further consideration for the National
Film Challenge...Maybe next time, guys!

The 2008
National Film Challenge,
the 48 Hour Film Projects sister competition, had called on filmmakers
all over the country to participate in a 3-day competition over the
weekend of October 24th through October 27th, 2008.
If you
recall C-47 Houston magazine's coverage of the Houston chapter of the 48 Hour Film Project, The National Film
Challenge has the same premise - the filmmaker and team receives a
character name, prop and a line of dialogue which must be used
and said in the film and a random film genre was given to the team
that had to be made.
The Houston
MetroPlex area had 5 entries to this years National Film Challenge
they are:
David Morgan - Chaos Films -
Houston
Gerald Morris
Jr. -
DiaboliCo Productions - Houston
Victor
DiGiovanni
- Irony Coast Productions - Humble
"I
just dropped off my entry called "Back Story" to the
National Film Challenge and posted the video on YouTube. Casting
includes: Bonnie
Borst, (C-47 Houston
magazine's November LimeLight actress), Marc Isaacs and Andrew Kontowski. The films genre was
a "Road Movie" but we added music to make it a musical road
trip movie about a chiropractor and his patient. We think it turned
out really good.", Victor
