Phil Furgason, the Houston IndieClub.com Group Leader, has announced that the IndieClub will be having their monthly meeting Thursday, July 24th at 7PM. This is coming up next week! The IndieClub meeting will be at the Eye Candy Inc, facilities at 7026 Old Katy Rd., Suite 310, Houston, TX 77024 (713.802.2639) The Guest speaker will be Director/Producer Mr. William Collin. ( Eye Candy Inc. is a production company that specializes in producing high-end presentations and advertising for high-tech industry, broadcast and entertainment clients.) According to Mr. Furgason, this meeting will prove to be very exciting and a MUST for those of you shooting or wanting to shoot future projects with the "Red One" Camera. The meeting will be presenting the state of the art digital cinema display theater, featuring the Red One camera hooked up and displayed on HD and projected. Eye Candy Inc., has remodeled and installed a new Qulia Projector along with a 7.1 surround and 8K watt system, with a new cinema screen with a Panavision 2:40 anamorphic ratio. The meeting will: 1. feature a special presentation by Mr. Collin and DP Larry McKee where they will discuss the Red One work pipeline and the many hazards associated with this camera. 2. preview the features of the Red One camera Package and what it can bring to a shoot. 3. discuss and demonstrate typical problems editors face in FCP when working with REDCODE proxies. 4. discuss what you will run into when you post footage into a final edit. 5. talk about the disturbing and unspoken problem of working with DPX footage and Conversion. 6. discuss Apple Color, Shake, FCP and other methods. 7. show why the day to shoot your film is today. 8. How to sell your project 9. preview monitoring technologies and problems.
